Alonso returns to training without back pain
20 November, 2013
Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso revealed that he is finally back to full power after his recent back problems, having struggled through the Austin race weekend with headaches and dizziness and admitting he was tired afterwards.
“I finally returned [to] training without back pain,” he told his Twitter followers, posting a photo of a hotel treadmill session.
“Recovery completed. Happy!” he added.
During the recent Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the Spaniard crashed over the kerbs with such force in his duel with Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne that it triggered an alarm, requiring a mandatory medical check.
The alarm is triggered when a force exceeding 15G is reached. He was checked at the medical centre on the night after the race and later released. (GMM)
