Rosberg targets Massa’s sixth place

Sep.23 (PVM) Nico Rosberg lies seventh in the 2011 Formula 1 world championship standings, trailing Felipe Massa by 26 points, nevertheless the Mercedes GP driver is determined to reel in and overtake the Ferrari driver in the remaining six races starting with the Singapore Grand Prix.
Encouraged by improved performance of the MGP-W02, in recent races, Rosberg said ahead of the Marina Bay weekend, “My goal is to catch Massa, although it is clear that this represents a big challenge. It is also difficult to keep Michael [Schumacher] behind me [4 points difference]. I must simply score points regularly without retiring at the first corner.”
Rosberg failed to make it beyond Turn 1 at Monza after he was crashed into by Vitantonio Liuzzi’s out of control HRT, moments after the start of the Italian GP.
